Pile Type: Soil Conditions

Description of work: This scheme involved the design of secant contiguous and bearing piles for a residential property. The previous home was demolished and the new property involved a split level basement, with three basement levels at the front of the property and a swimming pool to the rear.

The geology comprised Made Ground, some Lynch Hill Gravel and London Clay. The Excavation was supported by 350,,, 540mm and 600mm diameter retaining wall piles. Thorough review of construction sequence was undertaken to allow an economic program and minimise defelctions to adjacent properties.

The work was undertaken for Berry Piling who undertook both the retaining wall and bearing piles.
