Rotary Auger Piles

An open hole is bored using a rotary auger, temporary casing and/or drilling fluids may be used to support the pile hole in unstable soils. Once design depth has been reached pile reinforcement is added and the bore is concreted.

This technique is ideal in cohesive soils or soft rocks which will stand unsupported during the boring process.
